Holiday Closings

Meadowlands Environment Center and DeKorte Park
The Environment Center will be closed on Friday, April 6th and Sunday, April 8th in observance of the Holiday. DeKorte Park will be open from dawn to dusk both days.

Regular DeKorte Park Hours
Richard W. DeKorte Park is open everyday from dawn until dusk unless otherwise specified on this alert page. Please note: Vehicles that remain in parking areas past dusk run the risk of being ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense or locked in overnight unless it is a public viewing night at the observatory.

NJMC Administration Building: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Meadowlands Environment Center: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Observatory: Public viewing hours are Monday and Wednesday nights. Check the Meadowlands Environment Center website for more information: www.njmeadowlands.gov/ec.

Marsh Discovery Trail: The trail is now open. It can only be accessed from the main gate, near the park entrance. Please be advised that this trail no longer joins with the Transco Trail. It is now an out-and-back type trail. You can get as far as the east promenade, then you must turn around and walk back to the main gate. The trail is being rebuilt in that vicinity.

Saw Mill Creek Trail: The trail is closed because of flooding concerns and long-term storm damage.
