Introduction

Economic growth is a vital part of the Meadowlands. In this complex urban area where cars and trucks speed down busy stretches of road surrounded by protected wetlands, economic and environmental vitality go hand-in-hand.

In order to follow its founding mandate to balance business and nature, the NJMC has established the Office of Economic Growth. This office will offer assistance to businesses already established in the area, as well as provide information to companies seeking to relocate to this area.

Services that will become available include a hotline for businesses seeking information on state and NJMC land use regulations and assistance programs, as well as information for infrastructure inquiries and other questions.

In addition, the NJMC has established a Business Accelerator to encourage businesses to set up shop in the region. Geared towards small, local, innovative, women and minority-owned firms, the incubator will provide new businesses with office space and a direct connection to government resources.
