Land Use Management (LUM) employees are organized into three groups.

Site Plan Group
The Site Plan group is responsible for establishing and enforcing the zoning and subdivision regulations of the Meadowlands District. All plans and property improvements, including redevelopment projects, are reviewed in accordance with NJMC Regulations, which effectuate the Meadowlands Master Plan to ensure orderly development.

Plan Review Group
The Plan Review group is responsible for reviewing all proposed development in accordance with New Jersey's Uniform Construction Code.

Special Projects Group
The Special Projects group is responsible for planning and engineering efforts and initiatives of the Commission, including flood control and transportation management and provision of technical support to the Division. Together, the staff presides over the land use regulations that govern the 30.4 square-mile Meadowlands District.
