The Meadowlands Environmental Research Institute (MERI) serves as the scientific and technological arm of the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission (NJMC). MERI 's scientists monitor environmental conditions, conduct research and develop and apply technology to address the environmental problems of the Hackensack Meadowlands District.
