Losen Slote Creek Park (Little Ferry, Moonachie)
This Park includes a 2-acre active recreation zone with a regulation hockey rink and a 22-acre woodland, one of the few remaining in the Meadowlands. It is named for the Hackensack tributary running through it. Slote is a Dutch word for creek. Losen Slote is a rich and diverse environment which supports many migratory songbirds, as well as a variety of small mammals and reptiles. The park was designed and constructed by the NJMC and is owned and operated by the Borough of Little Ferry.
